About Coach

I have been a competitive equestrian since the age of 7. I spent some time in gymnastics, but nothing teaches you patience, hard work, and resilience like learning to communicate with a 1,000lb animal with the strength in your legs.

Turning Point

I have a wonderful family, but I did not grow up in a household environment where personal health and fitness were a priority.. at all. The unfortunate reality hit when my father became terminally ill when I was a teenager. I realized that the difference between a healthy, happy life and a miserable, sick one was actually much more in your hands than I believed. I brushed past the self-doubt narrative in my head saying "You were never an endurance or strength athlete growing up, you won't be any good at this." and stepped into a gym. From then on the narrative changed from "taking care of my health is a chore" to "taking care of my health is a duty and something I owe to myself, and the people in my life It is not an option."

Motivation & Passion

I wholeheartedly believe that my purpose for coaching is to help people change that negative internal narrative and ignite their passion for discovering how great their lives can be. Over time, a huge passion of mine has become weightlifting, and I love coaching athletes who are relentless in the pursuit of their strength gains; physically and mentally. One of my greatest joys in life has been seeing the visceral change in an athlete when they accomplish a feat they never thought possible for them.
