About Coach

My journey with CrossFit started in Rhode Island in 2009. I had two small children, just turned 40, and needed to get back into shape. It was then that I joined a small gym and saw a handful of members doing totally different movements in the gym’s small back room. Barbells, boxes, sledgehammers, tires… My interest was piqued. The gym owner said they were trying this “new” class called CrossFit. I instantly became hooked on the excitement, intensity, and determination that each CrossFit workout brought. I love that it gives me new ways to challenge myself every day.

Turning Point

In 2018, after years of being a stay-at-home mom, with children now in high school and middle school, I decided I wanted to share my love and passion for CrossFit and put all my years of training into helping others succeed at their fitness goals. I decided to become a CrossFit coach. Soon after I obtained my CrossFit coaching certificate, I also obtained my CrossFit Kids certificate to start coaching children to try to change the way they looked at health and fitness. Teaching kids that fitness can be fun and provide a future of healthy habits. During that time coaching CrossFit, I obtained my Personal Training Certification to further my dedication in helping individuals meet their fitness goals. I also specialize in Senior Fitness Personal Training, a passion dear to my heart as I watch my father age and am constantly trying to find ways to maintain and improve his daily life.

Motivation & Passion

As I have gotten older, and officially joined the Masters rank, my love for fitness and competition continues to grow. My passion for coaching and personal training comes from the energy and enthusiasm that each member brings. I care about each one and there's nothing more important to me than helping somebody go through an experience that makes them happy, confident, and strong. I want to be there for those who want to bring about change. I want to help them discover the benefits of training that have helped me become the person I am today. I have seen the physical and mental benefits of being a member of the CrossFit community, and hope to encourage others to show up and give their all at CrossFit Durable!
